Invisalign in Fort Collins, CO
Most people have heard of Invisalign treatment as an alternative to traditional braces with metal brackets and wires. Invisalign treatment began as a revolutionary concept, and has stood the tests of time and clinical success for 19 years and over 4 million patients. There are now numerous copy-cat systems, but none have the time-tested standard of success we have seen with Invisalign.
Invisalign treatment is an ideal way to address a wide variety of tooth alignment problems. One great application is for straightening crowded front teeth. Many patients see a significant improvement in the health of their gums when their front teeth are straightened because they become self-cleansing and easy to access with floss and soft-picks. Invisalign is an ideal way to move teeth back into place if you had orthodontics as a child and have noticed your teeth starting to drift and look crooked again.
Orthodontic treatment accomplishes more than just giving you a great-looking smile. Teeth that are properly aligned and contact the opposite jaw appropriately are far less likely to crack, chip, fracture, and wear. Misaligned teeth are often subjected to harmful forces that cause damage. Now you can have straight teeth that contact each other appropriately and still keep your teeth clean, eat the foods you love, and avoid the discomfort and appearance of brackets and wires!
If you’d like to gain some confidence, make your smile more beautiful, and help your teeth last longer by limiting harmful forces, give our office a call to schedule a consult for Invisalign treatment.
Dr. Gray will do an exam and orthodontic evaluation, discuss your goals for treatment, take a series of photos and take impressions of your teeth. Dr. Gray will then work with the technicians at Invisalign to develop a strategy to move your teeth in a way that is safe, effective, and will provide the desired outcome.
When the Invisalign trays arrive at our office, you will have another appointment to review instructions and will receive your first 2-4 sets of aligners. You wear each aligner 24hrs a day for 2 weeks and then start the next aligner in the sequence. You will visit Dr. Gray every 4-6 weeks so that he can evaluate tooth movement and make any necessary adjustments if certain teeth are not moving as expected.
When your treatment is finished, you use the final aligner as a retainer.
